About the Department

The Department of BBA Aviation Management at Arputha College of Arts and Science was established in the year 2025 with the vision of preparing students for managerial and administrative careers in the rapidly expanding aviation industry. The department was introduced to provide rural and aspiring students with opportunities to gain professional knowledge and industry-oriented skills required in aviation management, airline operations, airport administration, and customer service sectors.

The programme combines the principles of Business Administration with specialized knowledge in Aviation Management, enabling students to understand both corporate management practices and the operational aspects of the aviation industry. The department focuses on developing leadership qualities, communication skills, decision-making abilities, and professional ethics essential for the global aviation environment.

The curriculum provides comprehensive knowledge in Airline Management, Airport Operations, Aviation Safety, Air Transport Services, Human Resource Management, Marketing, Customer Relationship Management, Financial Management, and Hospitality Practices. Along with academic learning, students are encouraged to participate in seminars, industrial visits, workshops, management activities, internships, and interaction sessions with aviation professionals to gain practical exposure and industry awareness.
