The Department of Microbiology at Arputha College of Arts and Science was established in the year 1999 as one of the founding science departments of the institution. Since its inception, the department has been committed to providing quality education in the field of Microbiology and nurturing scientifically skilled graduates capable of contributing to healthcare, agriculture, environmental sustainability, and industrial development. The Undergraduate Programme received Permanent Affiliation from the University in the year 2020.
