About the Department

The Department of B.Sc. Aviation at Arputha College of Arts and Science was established in the year 2025 with the vision of creating skilled aviation professionals capable of meeting the growing demands of the global aviation industry. The department was introduced with a commitment to providing quality aviation education to rural and aspiring students who dream of building successful careers in the field of aviation and air transport services.

The department aims to combine academic knowledge with industry-oriented training to prepare students for dynamic careers in aviation, airport operations, airline management, customer service, safety management, and allied sectors. The programme is designed to provide students with a strong understanding of aviation principles, airline operations, airport management, aviation safety, air regulations, communication systems, and hospitality practices.From its inception, the department has focused on transforming rural and first-generation learners into confident professionals capable of adapting to the dynamic corporate world.
